Celeste Lipkes is a writer, teacher, and psychiatrist residing in Asheville, North Carolina. She received an MFA in poetry from the University of Virginia and her first book of poems, Radium Girl, was published through the 2023 Wisconsin Poetry Series. Her critical prose has appeared in magazines such as Electric Lit, The Rumpus, and 32 Poems. She has taught poetry workshops in academic and clinical settings; she is currently an UNC adjunct assistant professor co-directing an Ethics and Humanities course for Asheville third year medical students. She is at work on a lyric memoir.
